My best friend growing up used to race go karts when he first started. I'd go to the track with him all the time during the fall when I didn't have baseball going on and I can't imagine the money his parents threw down over the years to let him keep racing (he moved up to some level of dirt track racing).

And the amounts of fist fights I saw between people of all ages is absolutely insane looking back on it. We had a ton of fun though.
