Yes they do. Having the paddles in the back give you an advantage to turn while jumping. Gives me an advantage in call of duty for sure. Never have to take your thumbs off the sticks. Gives you the option of setting whatever buttons you want to correspond with a paddle. I have my left paddle as jump and my right as armor plating for call of duty. I can still sprint and look around while doing both.
