My family came from Westover plantation in WBR on one side and White Castle (think 150 years ago) on the other.
I'll let you draw your own conclusions. Doesn't mean I think it was cool or OK.

My great great great great great grandmother was sold on the auction block in Mobile Alabama. Her name was Rachel. For the rest of the story, Watch “The Free State of Jones”.

Several of my Black friends know this story and begged me not to ever tell it because they say it will ruin my life. That breaks my heart, I couldn’t care less

Apparently I’m owed a half acre and a goat. I don’t even want the goat.
