Is it wrong to just want a country with your own people in it? I mean I would invite anyone (any culture, any religion, etc.) to come as long as they recognize the country belongs to the ones who started it?

It belongs to only Puritan ancestors? Or ancestors of the founding fathers? Only those of English descent?
Who does it belong to?
Who does it belong to?

Only for white people.
For everybody else, it's natural and normal.
For white people, it's the Greatest Evil Imaginable.
Thanks to the You Know Whos.

The defining characteristic of a nation is sharing similarities with people.
Common language, religion, belief system, values.
That's how nations get formed.
multi-enthic, multi-cultural societies will never work, ever. Never have, never will.

We are one of a very few truly heterogeneous societies in the world. In France for instance, if you move there your child will be put in classes to teach you French before you are put in general educational classes with the other students. The US places those students directly in general education classes.

Not at all. In fact the U.N. Charter recognizes the right of self determination. And the U.S. is a signatory.
quote:
Article 1, Section 2:
The Purposes of the United Nations are:
2. To develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples,
Further explained in other UN documents:
quote:
All peoples have the right to self-determination. By virtue of that right they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development.
What is Self-determination?
Essentially, the right to self-determination is the right of a people to determine its own destiny. In particular, the principle allows a people to choose its own political status and to determine its own form of economic, cultural and social development. Exercise of this right can result in a variety of different outcomes ranging from political independence through to full integration within a state.
