Kill vine but not shrub?

Is there something I can spray on this vine (lite green) to kill it but not kill the shrub (dark green) that it’s choking out?

You are going to have to manually pull all the vine out of the shrub and cut and paint the stems of the vines going into the ground with RoundUp/triclopyr mix. The Chinese fringe vine is tough to eradicate. Gonna take a few applications

Craptastic, I thought so. It’s at a rent house of mine and I’m about to cut these hedges bigly so it should make it easier to get to the bottom of it. Thanks!

Find the base and pull or cut. Try snapshot to prevent it.

That crap was all in my gardenias. The poor old gardenias died due to lack of gutters. I pulled them and planted mums to last the fall/spring. I used round up in the whole bed, that vine is still coming up!!!
