This, I agree with. Well, not 100%. It doesn’t border, if you’re a Christian, which in full transparency I’ll admit I’m a non-believer. This, I would think, would be very offensive to Christians.

I think the word “offensive” is one of the most overused words in the English language; but in this case I do feel offended.

Someone like you—who graciously and honestly admitted he isn’t a Christian—sees/hears this story and, understandably, thinks we’re all a bunch of nutjobs.

There’s a very specific reason for this act (as explained above).
And it isn’t to humiliate, subjugate, or guilt anyone into feeling badly.

I’m very grateful to you for starting this thread.
I’ve been on the phone with several people about this (since reading your post), and we’re all saddened and unsettled.
