I always liked Sugarcreek CC.

Some people consider it a Old Mans Course because you can run the ball up on a lot of holes.

I have not played it since the renovations, but I have heard good things.

I live in Greatwood and the Greatwood greens are awful. I really hate the management that owns the course right now, they are sucking the life out of the course.

Really a shame for a decent layout.

I feel Your pain. The course I live on is owned by the same family.

20 members all left and went to sugar creek a few months ago. They don't gaf.

I play with a handful of those guys regularly. Our greens are phenomenal, the greenskeeper we got a few years back has been worth his weight in gold.

Yeah you probably play with my next door neighbor. I played CC with him a few weeks ago and course was phenomenal. we walked 18 that day. Greens were lightning compared to the course I live on. I three putted about 10 times. Lol

T Ryno,

I played Sienna when it first opened and it was great.

Such a different look now with the houses around it.

Yep, the Lopez Mgt know they have a cash cow in Riverpoint and they don't care about the other courses.

Before Sugar land annexed us, our homeowners association made them a fair offer to buy the course and they declined. Really upset a lot of residents and most refuse to play there now.

My biggest fear is that they close it and let it go to seed because they are in a water rights war with the city of Sugarland.

Sienna hasn’t been the same since I went out there and dropped nitro bombs all round on TigerRyno.

At least he was a good sport and let me drink 3 month old IPAs at his palatial sienna mansion afterwards.

It’s a fantastic course....it’s pretty wide open so getting off the tee typically is not a major concern...but around the greens you have to be salty.

Not much rough at all, they can grow it out along the fairways though and it does make it much more challenging because your approach shots are so critical.

But the course really does mimic Augusta...pine straw everywhere, no rough around the greens but it is cut thin and greens have all kinds of undulations.

If you can’t lag putt....good fricking luck!

Should Bluejack be relatively easy to get on with a call from my pro? What about some of the other courses in Houston?

Thinking about maybe getting a buddy drive over and spend a couple days in Houston and play a few rounds like a mini-golf trip.

It depends on what course your pro is calling from

I have played it numerous times and the comment about it being easy is partially true, during regular play days it is but under tournament conditions the greens are very quick and you better be able to chip from razor tight lies to undulated greens.

Low non tournament round 73 and during the member guest it was 83 for my low round.

I agree, if you don't like chipping off of tight lies, Bluejack can eat your lunch.

I have never played there as Blaketree or Bluejack when the greens weren't lighting fast.
