Large Format LG OLED vs Premium LED’s?

About to pull the trigger on a 77” LG C9 OLED. My only concern is burn-in/image retention with my kids/wife constantly leaving the tv paused and it will be in the main living area with lots of windows and light. I know that burn-in issues have been greatly reduced, but wondering if anyone has experience.
I went and looked at a 75” Samsung Q900 and just read that Vizio is releasing a 2020 model of the P Series Quantum X in 85”.
I’m coming from a Panasonic plasma, so my inclination is to go with the OLED, but wanted to see if anyone else has gone through this debate.

I've had a 65" LG OLED for nearly two years. Zero issues. Screen savers kick in pretty quickly so I wouldn't worry too much about image burn.

Does the screen saver kick in when you are inputting from a different source? I have a cable box and Roku running through an a/v processor outputting to the TV.

Nice I’m going drop $4k on a tv flex
I dreamed of the OLED but it’s just not realistic at this point. Went with LG with the nano cells. Haven’t turned it on yet but it’s supposed to be the closest to
OLED you can get

$3600 delivered to door is the best deal I have found. I’ve been holding off for several years now waiting for large format OLED prices to come down as it didn’t make sense to replace a 60” plasma with anything under 75”. After reading about Covid issues setting back LG OLED production, it seems like it will be several more years before we see significant price decline on the 70+ screens.
I have an M-series Vizio in my bedroom which is a good TV, but the black levels and contrast just don’t compete.

Aren't those IPS panels? Those have really poor contrast ratios, which won't make them as close to OLED's as you can get

I'm at about a year with my c8. Love it. Get the OLED. Like others said, screensaver kicks in pretty quick. No worries on burn in.

OLEDs are not bright enough for me with more and more movies making use of Dynamic Lighting

I'm roughly 2 years in on a 65 (I think b7). The screensaver, as stated, kicks in quickly, but I do have a Marantz receiver which has an input that is a blank black screen with relatively dark grey "MARANTZ" that prevents the screensaver from playing. I estimate the longest "on" period has been around or just north of two weeks (we neglect my mancave to an embarrassing extent). This seems still like a low-risk scenario, but I haven't had a problem with it yet. No retention and performance has been, as far as I can tell, the same.

Just went from a panasonic st50 to an oled and if you didn't have burn in with the plasma, then I wouldn't worry about it with the oled. I can say that even as good as the panasonic were, you'll be impressed by the oled and the brightness is fine for someone coming from plasma.

Not only the Screen saver but the screen impercetibably "Shifts" every so often. Burn in not an issue.
ETA: NO burn in
