It's a bigger issue than you think it is, but the media is painting it as a white vs black issue and that's not the case. It is an us vs them issue. As the poster above said, you won't see change until you start weeding out that mentality. This is a direct byproduct of the trend toward militarization of the police force that has occurred in the last 20 or so years. Military and police were always meant to be 2 distinctly different things and that line has been blurred greatly.

Oh please. So I guess we should follow the Minneapolis City council and get rid of the police and use Community Outreach Groups to enforce the law?
