How much do you think tickets to a home game this season OTHER THAN Georgia/Alabama will go for? I'm looking for 5 to the LSU/Ole Miss game. StubHub and RazorGator all seem high (people looking for a windfall at this point in the season + risk+ broker premium). I'm just wondering what I'll need to offer above face to get legitimate results from non-ticket brokers.

best bet is on gameday

I would agree except I need 5 or 6 tickets. Gameday is good for 2 or 4 but it's risky looking beyond that.

Here are some statistics for you:
I have season tickets (6 together side by side) in the South endzone and I've been able to sell a few games here on the Rant's ticket exchange. App. State for $100/each, Troy for $60 each and I have an offer for Miss. State for $100/each (asking $125/each). I've been able to get more than face value since I have 6 together and most people know that its hard to get that many together on game day.

So do you think say 6 for Ole Miss in the South EZ would go for $125 per?

I just bought 4 App State tickets for $80 a piece. The seats suck but, hey, I will be in Tiger Stadium for the opening game.

Are you trying to get 5-6 together? If not, you'll be able to find tickets for those games without problem at face or below.
Ole Miss or MSU could very likely be picked up for 11:30 kickoff. If that happens, some people will certainly sell for less.
Buying now is going to cost more. It's like the National Title game. Early on, people were paying outrageous prices. As the game neared, prices came down.

I think $125 is about right for Ole Miss under today's market for endzone seats. Upper deck should be slightly less expensive. The person that paid $80 for App. State probably bought East or West upper decks and that price is about right for those type of seats.

I'm still shocked that people pay over face value (sometimes waaaay over), especially for games that aren't "big."
I've been to almost every game since the late 90s. I've paid more than face twice that I can remember, and both (Florida and Va. Tech) were last year, and both were under $75 a seat.
Only game I've ever had real trouble getting tickets to was Arkansas in '05. (Last year's Arkansas game wasn't easy, either...)
But App. State? At 4 PM? In August? Ole Miss? Troy?
If you're paying more than $20 per seat for those games, you're doing it wrong.
There is something to be said for having ticket in hand, especially for a big game, but it doesn't make much fiscal sense to me, especially for the crap games.
Here's a hint:
The old folks don't like day games, hot games or 8 PM games, and they don't sell their tickets to the "scalpers."

Just go to the Ole Mrs. web site. They always have tickets and you will pay face value not some inflated scalper price... You can put your order in now for them..By the way they are $50ea...

Gameday always cheaper, e-bay often is much much cheaper than stubhub, they run very high, e-bay a lot lower but often still over face, depending on the game.
