I can't tell you how many times I've heard this stupid arse argument. These are people that have never fired a weapon at a moving target in a high stress situation.

In addition to your point of pulling off a circus shot in a life and death situation...
If a cop is compelled to shoot someone, he/she is not looking to slightly injure and annoy that person. The cop has determined he/she must stop that person.
