Lmao! Are there not signs on campus that completely omit the "Lafayette" from "UL Lafayette"? Pretty sure there is one on a concrete wall at an intersection on campus. The website is "louisiana.edu".

I have no issue with calling the atheltics teams the "Louisiana Ragin Cajuns" (better than the generic-arse bulldogs they used to be), even though it's nothing more than a clever way to get around being called UL Lafayette. It's not like they are called the UL Lafayette Louisiana Ragin Cajuns. No, it's the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns, the same as LSU is the LSU Tigers.

But the university, regardless of what they say, has flirted with the UL moniker for years.
