I did not know that next season (7) will be the last for Amazon Prime's "Bosch"

Bummer. One of the best shows on TV IMO

Bosch is getting an early renewal and an end date. Amazon has picked up a seventh and final season of its hit drama series starring Titus Welliver and based on Michael Connelly’s bestselling books. The renewal comes ahead of Bosch’s sixth-season premiere later in 2020 on Amazon Prime Video.
“I’m proud of what we have accomplished with Bosch and look forward to completing the story in Season 7. It’s bittersweet, but all good things come to an end, and I am happy that we will be able to go out the way we want to,” said Connelly.
“This started seven years ago with showrunner Eric Overmyer and me writing the pilot,” Connelly continued. “We plan to write the last episode together as well. We’ll leave behind the longest-running show so far on Amazon and it will be there to be discovered by new viewers for as long as people are streaming. That is amazing to me. The other thing is that we would not have come all this way without Titus Welliver. There could not have been a better actor to play this role or a better team player to build this show around. He’ll be Harry Bosch for the ages.”

Love Bosch. It's a great show to binge over a long weekend.

Am I the only one who has no idea what’s going on in season 6? Like no clue with the Haiti stuff

In my opinion, which doesn't really mean much, Titus Welliver was perfectly cast as Harry Bosch.
Great books and really good show.

It started as a minor storyline in season 5. An old informant for J Edgar ends up dead while trying to setup a meeting. The case involved dirty cops, Jamaicans, the dead informant’s ex-cop father, undercover DEA agent, and Haitians.
The main Haitian and his family were high ranking officials under a brutal dictator in Haiti. They were responsible for numerous atrocities, including the deaths of some of Edgar’s family.
The Haitian is now in exile in L.A., living under an alias, the head of an organized crime syndicate, and seemingly living under the protection of the State Dept and the CIA.
It’s a way too complicated story arc that focused solely on a supporting character. I thought season 6 lost a lot of steam when the second half of the season focused on Daisy Clayton, Irving’s campaign, and the Haitian.
All 3 storylines were carried over from S5, and probably should have been wrapped up before this season. The writers and show runners have been great throughout most of the series expanding storylines and developing characters beyond the original source material.
However, S6 fell flat for me, and most of it felt like filler.
