Go fish, morning bite is dead by 9 am anyway but you could find a set picking after that.
kemosabe65@yahoo.com for the starting spot.
WinoCrawfish, you better get as much in as possible now.

Should have listened closer to KemoSabe65. I have a special love for West Cove and needed to run some old fuel out of my boat. So West Cove it was. Cove was full of boats. Ended up with one 16" speck and a nice flounder. Set up on two groups of birds and both times had boats blow into the fish with their big motor before I could make two casts. I don't think either boat had a clue what they had done wrong. Looked puzzled when they started casting and didn't stick fish. Really would have enjoyed giving them some friendly coaching on how to approach the birds, but they both made 5 or 6 casts, cranked up and left.

Had a great time though. Met a nice couple with a power pole stuck down in Oyster Bayou. Helped them get out of a bind. That's always a plus. It was a nice morning so well worth the trip.
