Friend,
I, too, have no liking for Wagyu. Its corpulent speckling disgusts me. Its current place of favor in the American dining scene is completely an unwarranted fad. I’m disappointed in a fine purveyor of groceries like Walmart joining this trend.
Having said that A1 is the lowest, not highest, grade of Wagyu, which corresponds to a beef marbling score if 1. The highest grade is 5 which corresponds to a bms if 8 to 12.
