Because he temporarily asked for this chairmanship to make sure he can coordinate with Barr and get ahead of things to possibly cover up. He has promised witnesses for a few years. He had one witness before the C virus-- so low on the totem pole come in behind closed doors, he forgot their name.

Then he said he wasn't calling anyone in during an ongoing investigation-it wasn't his role.

Now all of a sudden it is his role.

-He loves the camera

-He is up for re election

-He is a fake POS

-He has to justify holding them accountable so Trump lays off about the FISA court.

ETA: typo I put Burr I meant Barr; but I am sure Graham has met with both on covering Burr, Wolfe, Warner' and McCain's role in the dossier. AND LEAKING TO THE MEDIA.
