Started smothering the ball.

I could not figure it out. I guess I came over the top, but swing did not feel rushed.

I did hit the last fairway and made a birdie. I said, “let’s play again.”

I guess I’ll go to the range and see whether this is just a bad day.

I had agreed to play the blue tees with my friends who hammer the ball. Maybe I was “over swinging”? I try not to worry about not being a big hitter, but on the par 3s yesterday, I used fairway woods on all 4. The par 5s were playable for me, but most par 4s were approached with a fairway wood as well.

You were swinging too hard, plus if you were having to hit fairway woods to the 4’s, you were on the wrong tees. Move up and have fun.

Move up a set of tees for sure. There's no way you should be hitting fairway woods into all par 3s and most 4s. We've had games where people play different tees, it didn't hold us up.

Keep your left arm straight and your right elbow near your side. Also, your initial move back take the club head straight back; not inside. Happens to all of us. You will hit every fairway next round and your putter will go south. It’s golf.

You’re def playing from the wrong tees like mentioned. And remember, any part of your game that is “good” is only borrowed. It’s never owned. Welcome to golf. Grip it and rip it daddy!!!!

It’s happened to me for a couple of rounds. I went from smashing draws to smothering it left into the next fairway.

I was crouching down over the ball. I stood up nice and tall and there it went. Simple, stupid fix

I only did it for a change of scene.

I play a bunch. If I had driven the ball ok, I would have had a decent score for a 9.7 index.

I actually play any tee from gold, gold/white mixed, white (90% of rounds), white/blue mixed, and blue(rare and only when I’m with much better players).

I like playing the course from many different tees and have even thought of a system where a birdie moves you back and a double moves you up. It would create some more randomness to the matches we play, but we could not enter a score.

Def a decent idea and a way to keep things interesting. Golf is hard enough as is so i say that with meaning that if you’re hitting long iron into most par 4s it’s just better to move up. I’ve heard old timers tell me “you should play from every tee. Each tee requires a different game and the shorter doesn’t mean the easier”. A lot of truth to that. I hit the ball a pretty long distance and honestly my ego doesn’t allow me to play further up.

RTJ courses have a par 3 course at the various sites.

A fun time IF it’s not crazy crowded is to play every hole from different tees.

I’ve had to hit driver from the back tee and a wedge from front tee on the same hole at one of the courses.

It’s a blast to just see what you can do.
