What's the best way to remove an odor from a baseball cap?

Bought a cap at a garage that had been obviously worn before. Twist my arm it was a good price. I wore it twenty minutes yesterday and it really began to stink of perspiration. The odor must have been heat activated. Fabreeze made it worse. I'd put in the washer but I don't want it to lose its shape.

Put it in the dishwasher. You can get a mold like this for just a couple dollars if you're worried about damaging it. I've never had any issues.

I usually just throw my hat in the washer on a delicate cycle and let it air dry.

I'll bet it's cat piss and not perspiration you are smelling. I had the windows down on my car one time and the neighbors cat pissed in it. I thought I finally got rid of the smell, but every time that cars interior got hot from sitting in the sun the cat piss odor came back.

Hmm. Maybe cat litter would work.

Lose it’s shape or not, washing with soap and baking soda would be my only option, I don’t think I’d be wearing an article of clothing that had been saturated in someone else’s sweat and body odor. That’s nasty man. Fabreeze wouldn’t get it.
