Prime Ruce would have been perfect with Shaq and Kobe. The Rice that was in the Lakers was washed up at that point amd really struggled to find his place on the team. He had some moments here and there, but he was nowhere near what he was in Charlotte.

Also Kobe was still finding himself on that ‘00 squad. He averaged 15 ppg vs Indy. They won because of Phil and Shaq.
