THIS is the right answer.
Hell, even after Trump was elected, a good deal of the activity has been designed exclusively to tell all others who might wish to repeat what Trump did or support something like it that your lives may well be ruined.
Make no mistake. There are people who might otherwise choose to support a future candidate's campaign that will choose not to after seeing what happened to those who participated in Trump's.
