I agreed with your reviews of the two most famous Asheville Hotels, however I felt compelled to clarify a statement you made with regard to the Grove Park Inn.
To wit

you like gingerbread contests
Not just ANY gingerbread contest. The National Gingerbread Contest.
I’ve been to this contest several times and let me share an image that captures the essence of the event-

A good time can be had by all ages there.
I actually do prefer staying at the Biltmore but either venue is acceptable.

Thank you for your wonderful service here, best regards on this Memorial Day weekend.

Friend,

Have you ever been for the contest? I’m ashamed to say I haven’t, but I have seen in person twelve winning gingerbread houses. Perhaps this year after the caroling, in addition to hot chocolate and cookies, we could do a gingerbread house decorating contest.

It is remarkable to me that people prefer going to a crowded, hot and humid tourist filled beach for summer vacation when a trip to western North Carolina at the same time offers more to do, less tourists, and far better weather.

Yours,
