Nothing wrong with bigger corners, but they have to be able to move efficiently. And the taller you are the harder that is.



I think you missed the point there, they are all roughly the same height, not like Ricks is too tall to play corner, there are 6'4 corners in this conference (who are good). Height would have nothing to do with Ricks moving to safety. We have sub 6 foot safties on the team and one currently committed.

Ricks is very similar in height to Flott, Raydar, McGlothern, Ward, etc...

Not to mention Ricks was arguably the best pure corner to come out of high school this past year, I mean he's played corner through high school at a ridiculously high level

The difference from 6’3” to a 6’1” player is 94% tile to 81% tile


It starts to normalize pretty sharply considering 6’3” & 6’2” are separated by just 1 percentage point

Which guys are we talking about?

There have only been 3 legit 6’4” CB’s that have tested at the combine since 1999. Maybe they missed 1 or 2 but this database is pretty damn comprehensive.
