Wheaton got a CB to Oklahoma today. I think that rumor he's favoring LSU doesn't have much base but I hope I'm wrong.

And it looks like a%m is all over lj johnson
Does anyone know what the lsu board looks like
Don't love the kiner commitment(sorry have to be honest). Just looks a bit lumbering

I honestly believe if we focus on LJ that we would 99% snag him

Shea just CB the 6’3 safety from Ga. to us Khari Gee. He is hearing Gee will commit sooner rather than later.

That is good news. Mitchell, Gee, and Ryan will be a phenomenal safety class.

Gee commits at 12 PM ET tomorrow. Dakota Mitchell will get a boost in the 247 defensive rankings update.

Not sure anyone really knows where Wheaton stands honestly. Do have faith we will be there until the end. Also agree if we really press for Johnson he is ours. TAM is a placeholder.

So you think we are waiting on Wheaton?

If that's the case, why not just push for lj johnson and see what happens with Wheaton
Lsufanva do you love the kiner commitment?

I just think he is more of a lumbering back
It s how he is built
Clyde has big thighs but can jump cut and spin with the best of them
I just don't see that with him
Just feel like you can get a back like him later if u want
Just my opinion and I could be totally wrong
What did y'all see when u watched the rivals camp 1 on 1s

I'm not particularly blown away by Kiner's adequate running-style either, however the few clips I saw of him catching the ball was impressive.

Natural, soft hands, catching away from his body & over-the-shoulder like a wr on a post-route. That skill can vault a rb up a depth chart quick, provided he's not a liability as a blocker.

You have great points, but I think we may be looking at him from different perspectives. Ive never looked at him as a 3 down back. I see him as a receiving and change of pace guy, who can contribute in his 2nd-3rd year. I see a lot of potential in him.

So you are definitely right and maybe its on me for looking at it differently.

I think the idea is you get him in the boat early so you can go all in on a top back (Wheaton) and if you miss then you dont come up empty

I get that point
Just want to know what other backs they were recruiting besides him, not including lj or Wheaton

It seems we are but honestly this is a different animal this year because there's very little concrete info coming out. I'd personally press Johnson because I like him more but Wheaton is no slouch.
I don't love the Kiner take but with 2 in mind I get it. It seems the staff has varying styles they want and they see enough in him to feel he's worth the risk. I think their are better backs but maybe not necessarily the fit we want with current talent and others we are recruiting.
All that said I have a strong belief most classes will look differently in Dec and Feb than they do now. Schools and kids taking dives they truly aren't ready for and tons of upheaval is coming, assuming football is played this fall.

I realize I am not very visible on the Recruiting Board on this site, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Personally, I absolutely see Kiner as a feature back in the SEC. The recent SEC guy he reminds me of is Knowshon Moreno. Sure, it would be great to get one of the Texas studs. But if Kiner ends up being our #1 signee, I will be stoked.

I have no problem taking Kiner in a 2 back class. He's a top 10 back in the country with incredible production at the HS level. Faulk knows what to look for in a RB.

Give me Johnson and Kiner today, and I would take it all day, every day.
