The problem with Brennan trying/wanting to be a ball carrier (designed run or scramble) is that we don’t have anyone behind him - were he to get injured.

We can be as optimistic as possible about Finley and/or Johnson. But if either of them becomes the starter in 2020, wins will likely be much harder to come by in our tougher games.

I am not saying it is guaranteed doom-and-gloom. We see true freshmen explode onto the scene every season - the USC guy last season for example). But I would prefer to see Brennan just throw the ball away when pressured. And live to see another down.
