You’re only what, 3 weeks post stroke? It’s going to come with time. My dad had a stroke and the doctor told my mom he’d likely never walk or talk again. He’s a little wobbly when he’s tired and can’t speak worth damn beyond small talk, but when he’s got the energy, he get around pretty well and can actually still cut a rug.

Strokes are extremely scary. It’s kind of the opposite of cancer. Cancer is just slow deterioration and with strokes, it’s slow regeneration, but you can’t predict when the regeneration is going to stop. I can see improvements in my dad if I haven’t seen him in a couple weeks and he’s 18 months post stroke. Extremely scary, but extremely inspiring to watch a driven person fight back from the pits of hell.

Well I suppose if I were to consider myself lucky my speech was largely unaffected. Not that you can't tell but it improves each day and I certainly can be understood.
In fact they use voice to text to create this message
