That's pretty easily a case for 2nd murder, and it could be argued that 1st degree fits as well.
I hate to bring race into this thing, cuz i really do try to avoid it. But if you completely reverse roles here, 2 black guys see saw a white guy jogging in the neighborhood whom they don't recognize. They automatically assume he was up to no good. So they grab their guns to follow him, and ambush him in the street. After abushing said white jogger, they get into an altercation and proceed to shoot and kill the guy.
Those guys would have been prosecuted with the quickness, and you wouldn't have any posters here trying to claim the shooters innocence. Or dig into the victim's past so they can tear down their character.

In other words, the same as what’s happening here?
I haven’t read anyone claiming these guys are innocent. The feeling on here is overwhelmingly in favor of first degree and the death penalty - often by novel means.
