If you wire money in your account you can sell prior to the sell, you won’t incur a violation, as long as the wired money is there to settle the buy. Wired money is considered settled immediately. At least that’s how the Fidelity rep explained it to me.

ETA: I just checked and I still get the warning if I try to sell. So this may not be a resolution. But fidelity rep said it would work.
