I think the contention is that most people believe Dalton has peaked and is now regressing while Jameis hasn’t reached his prime yet, thus still could improve his game. Throw in that Jameis has already thrown for more TDs and far more yards in a single season, it seems Jameis has a much higher ceiling. With that said, Dalton is far less turnover prone, and has a better win percentage when he’s gotten protection. It’s a classic example of low risk/low reward vs high risk/high reward.
