You are obviously way more advanced than I am on this stuff so I'm probably going to out myself as a standard simpleton here but what the heck. My Harmony remote with hub can set a delay. I use it to first turn on whatever device takes the longest to boot up and then the other devices that are quicker.

The problem with this particular soundbar that I bought (and with many others, it seems) is that it goes to sleep after 15 minutes of no audio, and it does NOT wake up once it detects audio again. This means that when I (or, more likely, my kids) pause something, leave the room, then return and press play, there is no sound. If I was interested in teaching my wife and kids to use a harmony remote, there would *still* be a ~10 second delay before sound while it booted back up. Annoying, to say the least, and there is no way to disable this "feature".

So then while researching other soundbars, I found that most of them have some similar fatal flaw (like maybe the sub disconnects often), and I also came to the conclusion that soundbars just aren't that great at sound. And I have absolutely no place in this room to put a receiver, and I was not happy with the options of amps, so here I am deep down this rabbit hole.
