Summit mentality. Would you rather pocket thousands of dollars and spend in luxury or sacrifice physically, mentally and spend thousands of dollars to reach the summit of Everest.
Take the money or take the sacrifice for an opportunity for a moment that you will cherish for a lifetime. From everything I've read about Stingley, he's a summit climber.
