I lean toward the Troggs on this one but I do like the Hendrix version as well.

Yeah I know I'm the one who posted this but I recently discovered a Dylan cover I just gotta post:

Bruce Springsteen - "I Want You" (live, 1975)

I'd known for a long time that BS had done "I Want You" in concert, but had never heard his version.

What's fascinating is that this isn't only a great cover -- it's completely opposite what you'd expect from Springsteen. Instead of bar band R&B it's a baroque slice of Left Bankesque folk-pop c. 1966. I wonder what Bob's reaction was after hearing it: "Man, I shoulda done it that way!"
