Yeah they’re pricey as shite. I got some Maui Jim’s. Want to really have fun? Get progressive lenses. Wife said “oh those are nice. What’d they cost?” I said “why would you even ask me that?”

I know that feeling. We used to have a Vision plan at an old job, and it would cover lenses every year if your Rx changed, and frames every other year. I had bought some glasses to use at work, and they had the magnet clip-on sunglasses. Which were better than nothing, but not that great.

A couple of years go by and I buy my first pair of Rx sunglasses. The place I was going didn't have Costa or Maui Jim, they were just regular glasses that they would put a tinted lens in.

Fast forward a few years and I'm using a different Optometrist, and they have a freaking showroom for all of the glasses they offer. I was going to get some nice Rx sunglasses this time, and I was thinking the Vision plan would help. It was still around $500 when it was all said and done, but I still have them today. My dad got me a pair of Costa Rx several years back as well. He has a connection in his hometown and all I had to do was email him my Rx. I can ask him about it if y'all are interested. It is a big outfit down there that does a ton of volume.
