Yes. Zofran will placate most nausea induced from localized radiation. I had to do TBI (total body irradiation) before my stem cell transplant and I was throwing up into bags for about 30 minutes afterwards. But if it’s just localized radiation you should be fine with some nausea meds.

Prostate cancer, after 39 days of radiation, my PSA # dropped from 11 to 0.1, a normal reading for the prostate. Zero symptoms beyond fatigue that carried over 3 mths post last treatment. However, another patient had nasal cancer & he said radiation was like sticking his head in a bar bq pit. But according to my radiologist's nurse, chemo treatment puts a patient at high risk for the virus as the immune system is "seriously damaged" . Best advice I continuously received was to stay positive, as a positive mind can & does make a difference.
