Ed simply can’t be above the other 3 coaches mentioned. Not right now - and you have the reason all in your post. The other guys have multiple NC seasons. I’d go Miles-Saban-Dietzel-O.

He’s gotta have one more championship of some sort or by default he’s behind those guys. Yeah, he had the GOAT season - and it was phenomenal - but if we set recency bias aside the other 3 had better overall careers to this point (O has plenty of time to change this).

My rankings were based on best performances at "LSU" only, not what they did at other Schools or in the Pros. Bill Arnsparger was the DC on the Dolphins 1972 17-0 team, the so called no name Defense. However, I ranked him based on winning 2 SEC titles in 3 years (I give LSU the defacto 1984 title as UF was stripped right after the season ended and LSU went to the Sugar Bowl. That was a weird deal, UF could not go to the Sugar Bowl, LSU went, but the title is deemed vacated. Charlie Pell that year resigned early in the year, Florida and LSU tied but UF went 5-0-1, LSU 4-1-1, NCAA hit UF and they vacated in December of 1984. Under modern Rules, LSU would be the SEC title. Had the NCAA came out with their report a few months earlier, the SEC could have ruled UF ineligible and LSU would have won the SEC. So DeFacto, I have always credited Bill A with that SEC title as LSU won the automatic to the Sugar Bowl.

Saban won 5 NC's at Alabama, not LSU.

So my rankings again were only based on performance at LSU.
