Why, for doing their fricking jobs? What a joke.
He’s saying that they have to work while others can sit at home, so they deserve it. frick, I guarantee half the people at home will gladly go work for their full regular pay with no bonus at all.

The ignorance here today is off the charts.

And then he claimed that a majority of them are “black and brown” his words not mine... Amd that’s why they have higher percentages.

Frontline workers are making more than a 50% bonus.

He says this 2 min after saying he has no money. He needs someone in Nebraska to pay for someone in NY or NJ (I live in southern NJ). Easy for him to say...meanwhile NYC mayor wont shut down the subway system.

When he first started the press conferences he was okay. As this pandemic slowed down it is like he is trying to get ratings. I mean the crap about Sunday family dinners, having his brother in the PC and all the attacks he does while saying he doesn’t attack Trump has gotten real old. The guy was warned in 2016 and refused to buy the vents....yet he was to provide healthcare to freeloading illegal immigrants.....SMDH

Well... do it. With NY money.
There are people here that have been Furloughed that is flying up there to work because the pay is unbelievably high to do so.
They have been offering three to four times the the weekly salary here to work up there.
If I had a nursing degree... my arse would be there now.

He is trying to get the FedGov to buy votes for him

Between shift diff, overtime and staffing bonuses, my wife is making over 2 times normal pay. The government doesn't need to get involved in this.

Cuomo's pay & tv airtime should be cut 50%

Do cops get a 50% bonus when they get assigned to work the night patrol in a shitty, high crime part of the city? No because its part of the job they signed up for.
I'm sure a 50% bonus for people who've actually been able to keep their jobs and paychecks coming in is well appreciated by all the workers who've been laid off or furloughed and don't know when or even if their place of employment will ever be able to reopen

You would think. But we are hiring, and folks are telling us they would rather sit home and earn $850/wk unemployment than have a permanent job with benefits. Never mind the temporary aspect of this unemployment. They prefer short a term hand-out over long term stability.

Maybe the ones at the grocery stores. Not at the hospitals.

Where are you located, which industry, and are you looking for part-time or full-time help?

nope.
Best way is that they could get a tax credit of up to $x if they were a "front line" worker during the pandemic

Full time in Arkansas and considerably above minimum wage. But below the $850 people are earning while sitting at home.

I've been working all along; does that make me frontline?
Posted on 4/20/20 at 11:27 am to Lsut81
I agree that they need a bonus. Many are not getting a current pay bump like someone else in this thread believes. However, the black and brown comment is just absolute bullshite. Pulling the racism sympathy card is where this whole idea turned to shite.
