Can anyone either tell me or show me who we have recruited so far in baseball? Just trying to see what prospects we have for next year.

Zach Von Rosenberg
is he gonna go pro you think Adam?

I think Colvin will for sure, he was clocked at 92mph last month
Von Rosenberg only got to 88mph but being 6'5 teams may take a look at him because of projectabilty. Right now he's not a lock to go and he loves LSU athletics so thats a plus.

I think he's a 2010 recruit, but I could very well be wrong.

nah, he's a good friend of mine. i think he really wants to play college ball.

I know he loves LSU and you better be pressuring him to not take the bait on what MLB teams may be telling him.

if he gets enough he's gone. From what he tells me. Clocked at 94 also. And if he goes to lsu he will hit and pitch.

i don't think he will, some big time colleges have been showing interest in him--- miami, lsu, ole miss, and a couple others

haha yeah and big time MLB places are looking at him too lol

anyone know how many LA HS signed pro deals this year?
Posted on 7/15/08 at 2:58 pm to Lester Earl
tyler yockey is the only one i know of
Posted on 7/15/08 at 3:06 pm to Lester Earl
besides Yockey, Nola, and Bruno the talent just wasn't there this past season.

my point is, for as long as i have been following baseball around here, people talk up SOPH and JRs as potential signees out of high school, and prob 20% of the ones discussed even turn out to be that good or that desired by MLB teams. Shoot, 20% is prob too high of a figure.
some wont get drafted at all.
some wont get drafted where they are expected.
a lot people on these message boards dont know what a 1st round pick looks like. Or even a high pick. They talk out of their arse because they are friends of the player or friends of the program or hear that they throw "95 MPH" and that the Orioles are going ot draft them

haha just go look at perfect games website and they will say how fast he was clocked at the NATIONAL showcase. I understand what your saying LE and yes he is a friend of mine but he is the 26th rated player in the country.

im just speaking generally..not really talking about Colvin. He could be one of the few that are the real deal..ready to be an early pick
