Why not go further down the rabbit hole and visit Bon Marche (I have no idea what it is now).

Bon Marche was turned into a business park like 15-20 years ago. It hasn't been as successful as they'd hoped. It still backs up to Mall City. I used to work in there.

I didn’t grow up in Baton Rouge, only spent my years there as a student. I tried to get to know the town away from the university as best I could. Bon Marche, to me, was a place that was big on this board and nothing more.

We had our own dead mall here. It survived for about 20 years with limited anchor stores. They finally locked the doors on it a few months ago. What kind of idiots build two shopping malls within 3 blocks?
