Looks like paper checks through the mail will be delayed because the President requested that his name appear somewhere on the check.
It’s an unprecedented move for anything coming from the U.S. Treasury.
Trump apparently asked Mnuchin if his signature could appear in the ‘payee?’ line. Since he can not authorize any payments, they put his name in the line reserved for memos so that people receiving the paper checks will see that it is ‘from him’.
IRS officials have said they have to do a computer test and make sure their isn’t a technical delay in print and may delay the checks (again paper) by a few days.

For about 10 minutes...because that is all the time it takes to adjust a template after taking a digital signature. Probably less since you can find his signature on the internet. Y'all are acting like this is a complicated task.
