It really is the let her cry it out. I remember how tired we were during this and ours cried the same. One night the wife woke up for a feeding and turned the monitor off on her way out at 2 am. Forgot to turn it back on when she came back. We both woke up at 6 and was like oh my god the monitor is off and turned it on and he was sleeping peacefully. Probably cried all night but it was our first restful sleep and he was immediately better at going to sleep. They will cry and it is heartbreaking but the eventually will sleep longer and longer and cry less.
