Basically the same is happening in New Orleans.

My theory (based on a scholarly paper I read) different ethnicities produce higher levels of angeotenson enzyme 2(ACE2). From highest to lowest it’s like this:

Chinese
Eastern Asian
African
Southern Asian
America (north and south)
European

Older overweight males tend to produce more ACE2 and combine that with race then you have the highest levels of ACE2.

COVID uses ACE2 to invade the cell.
