This isn't a Republican or Democrat issue. It's powerful people across multiple countries, and it's not just politicians.

This. Anyone trying to make this about one political party is retarded.

Which is why I did not make it about either political party.

Both examples of people being assholes were taken from a Democrat President and a Republican President. I will let you guess who they were.

But we want to believe that power will turn someone into a monster. No. It won't. No matter how much folks want to believe that it will.

Power will you be the person you want to be. And for a lot of folks that person might very well be a monster.

Rich people are no more immoral than the rest of us no matter how much we want to say they are. The "elite" is no more vulgar in their tastes then your local farmer. The difference is they have the money to indulge in what they want.

Character is who you are in the dark. Well when you become wealthy you can mostly count on what you do being in the dark.

We want to think the elite, the wealthy, the top of the herd, are these monsters who routinely indulge themselves of the most debased pleasures. They aren't. They are people, like you and I, who just happen to have a shite ton of money or power. When you can do whatever you want, we rapidly see what you want to do. For better or worse.
