I think most of the sex guys like Epstein, and Weinstein had with celebrity wannabes is like the scene where Lana Turner's character goes to a modeling agency in 1959's Imitation of Life. That kind of thing has been going on forever. Another old movie that featured casting couch scenes is The Carpetbaggers, from 1964. It stars George Peppard, Carol Baker and Elizabeth Ashley.
I grew up knowing this stuff went on, and, as a youngster, dreamed of being in position to partake in the system. Livng through the 80's with money in Dallas, made that kind of life possible. It wasn't as great as I thought it would be, but as Scratch told Willie Brown in 1986's Crossroads, "Ain't nothin' ever as good as we want it to be."
