I am not sure. Do you think that all the hype about the clash of the champions will pack tiger stadium....Or will people recline on their couches at home and watch the game at 4 pm.

I say - not a sell out. Crowd just less than 90,000

It will be a sellout in regards to the number of tickets purchased, but whether or not they all show up to sit in the hot sun, no one knows...

Gotta agree with BIG, the tickets will be sold, but I doubt the stadium will be packed

The stands would be full for the 2nd quarter. With all the fans that arrive late, like those in the East and West Gold seats, and those that leave early, especially if it is a blowout, and you end up getting the stadium full for only the 2nd quarter.

Are you smelling blow-out. I am not. I see a close game until the middle of the 3rd quarter and a meager 10-17 point win. No more than this. Remember the Cardiac Cats last year and how too many games were way too close for comfort!

Not to discount App St because I think that they have a great program, but after they beat Michigan last year, I think Les and the coaches will have this team ready and LSU will have a 21 or 28 point lead by half. Not really a blow out, but enough of a lead for some fans to leave early.

I agree with this.

I think Death Valley will be packed. People are calling looking for tickets already. For APPY St?
I think people can't wait for the season to start.

regardless of who we play in the first game, it will sell out.
do you realize how long its been since we've seen live LSU in-season football? since January...

LSU could play a Jr High team that day and i'm sure the tailgaiting and ticket sales will be just like they'd be playing Vanderbilt to start the season.
(Vandebilt High School too...)

and if you don't agree, i'll gladly take your tickets to this god forsaken football contest... its gonna be a horrible game, so you might as well just give me your tickets. stay home, mow the lawn, and post on this board, it would be so much better...
i'll take the tickets and sit through the agonizing football contest...

Season opener, reigning national champs, exciting potential for '08. It is an absolute sell out.

How many opening games have you been to in the last ten years? It's the same thing every year. There will probably be upwards of 100K people on campus for opening day, and only 93k fit in the stadium.

Every seat will be filled until about midway through the 3rd quarter, when the game is boring and obviously over.

Close score? yeah, ok...

Are they really making that a day game? If so, the App St fans that come down are really getting ripped off. I hope this isn't the case.

The stadium will be Rocking, while the Tigers take a Socking.
It will be loud as Hell, as they take disgruntled Tiger fans to Jail.
Just too much agony, for the BCS Champions tragedy.

Tiger stadium won't be much louder then Michigan's was. Not in the daytime. I can't believe that is going to be a f'n day game. You mountaineers that are coming down won't even know what you are missing, because of that BS.
