I expect it's a better business decision for many to shutter temporarily, let the employees draw unemployment, and open up with less of a loss once the storm blows through.

Not necessarily I’m hearing a lot of landlords are outright refusing to give up rent or telling tenants they will defer payments for ninety days but must make up missed rent by end of year. Also a new inventory order for most restaurants is north of $10,000.00, and insurance doesn’t cover pandemics. Utility bills still need to be paid, and then you May have to rehire a whole new staff. For most restaurants that were teetering before this they will close their doors permanently.
