GI has a grocery store and a couple of bars and all that. Other than the two marinas, there is absolutely nothing in Venice. Also, in Venice you have to deal with the river. Fog, boat traffic, etc. I would say GI is better for beginners and Venice is substantially more advanced.

I am very experienced with both areas ive just never looked into camp options and pricing.
