I agree with only paying those who lost jobs, but in order to get this through quickly I don’t think it’s feasible to accurately check who actually lost a job due to this. There also may be people who lose their right after the checks go out and then they would be screwed. Congress can’t project who will lose their job due to this. It’s a tricky situation.

I have no idea if this would work but couldn’t it be verified through the employer? That may open up another can of worms though.
