Play a Song until you have it down.Don't wear yourself out on 1 Song though.
Mess around with other Songs you like.
I learned those 1 at a time over the past couple of months.

I've done it both ways. Learning for the sake of making it presentation quality and for just getting exposed to more new stuff. And for me both were helpful. Another thing I thought helpful was to open up a song on the ultimate guitar site and play through different versions. To me this helps your with ear training and not just muscle memory. It'll help you learn to trust your ear.
