The campaign manager was quite interesting. He seemed to be intelligent and articulate, and he was aware of how crazy everyone around him was, yet he stuck around. I guess he figured it beat going back to Wal-Mart.
The producers got one guy to sit for his interview shirtless. And in one scene, the hit man was interviewed in his bathtub. WTF?

The guy basically knew what days the elections where and Joe was like “goddamn you’re a political genius you want a job”

So I didn’t quite get exactly what happened with Travis’ death. Was it a suicide on purpose or by accident? The build up before that scene seems to show Travis was very unstable and apparently methed the frick out all the time. Was he jokingly pointing the gun at his own head and accidentally pulled the trigger not thinking it would fire? Or did he know the gun would fire?
