I think JV drops the ball inches before crossing into the endzone. Technically it could've been called a fumble. Do you agree?

Freeze at the 18 second mark.

its close but if that had been called a fumble that would be nit picking like a mother fricker considering no ou player was near him on the score

Close, yes. But the ball did cross the plane

I disagree. He demonstrated possession well into the end zone. It was careless ball handling, as it could have slipped early, but he was carrying the ball in his lead hand and it most certainly broke the plane in his possession.

no way was that a fumble
he crossed the plain of the endzone and then dropped the ball
it did look a little careless but who cares
now if he was being tackled at the endzone and did something similar then yea, I could see that being called a fumble

Not a fumble but damn close..... If you freeze it just before he gets to the goal line the ball looks like it's "about" to be let go of. Careless play by JV and if I was a coach I would get on his arse about it. But hey, that's what kids are taught today.... look at me and how cool I am as I drop this ball or do my dance...

Even though we dominated that game, we were very lucky to win that game.--we were out of gas on defense at the end.

Agreed.
Watched the game again last week and couldn't help but notice that the defense was out of gas the last quarter.

The ball was a full yard in the endzone before he dropped it.
The ruling on the field stands. TOUCHDOWN!

It wasn't Leon Lett syndrome. NO ONE was near him.

Not only was the defense out of gas, Saban didn't let Mauck throw another pass after that INT he threw that set up OU's 2nd TD. The game was totally in the D's hands after that fake FG. We didn't even get a 1st down the last 17 minutes of the game.
It was a TD. Doucet's catch in the Arizona game is much more up in the air.

just touching the ball is not possession. I think he starts to yield possession before he crosses the goal line, even though he is still touching the ball a yard into the endzone. Technically, it could have been an OU touchback. However, no one questioned it because it would have been stupid nit picking. And it would have been considered too close to be incontrivertible. Thats one of those things I wish backs wouldn't do.
