The wife and I are heading to Grenada this spring. You should look into it. It's not as accessible as other islands, which helps keep it 'less' touristy than others.
I can't give a recommendation since I've never been there, but it's something worth looking into.

He should also check out St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Charter a boat with a captain and sail among the islands for a week or so. Can do the same in the BVI.
